I'm watching Grey's Anatomy online and I just saw Izzie put her stethoscope in her ears backwards. This is pretty basic stuff - come on Grey's, I expect some realism from a national TV show!
I came home today after dinner to find my room in my apartment totally infested with flies. I saw one or two yesterday but I thought they were just from having my window open so I killed em but there are literally at least fifteen flies hanging out in my room right now and I'm SCARED SHITLESS. You try taking medical microbiology with my professor and NOT be terrified of this disgusting disease vector.
What if they landed on the edge of my diet coke while I was napping or out of my room? What if they're carrying cholera or typhoid fever? What if they vomited/excreted pathogens RIGHT INTO MY POP? Holy fucking shit I really am going to cry. I don't know what to do. I don't know where my local Infectious Disease clinic is!!
I can't even find where they're coming from... I don't have any food out or things rotting. My trash (which has no food or perishable items) is tightly closed. My bunny's litterbox has no flies by it so I don't think they're coming from his cage.
Please help. :( I am scared to go to sleep.
Dear Weather:
You suck. I realize that I signed up for this when I agreed to live in the Midwest, but this is not funny anymore. You are hot one minute, cold the next... and obviously you didn't listen when I suggested a visit to the doctor and subsequent prescription for LITHIUM. I wouldn't mind so much if my closet space were not limited to one season at a time. Seeing as it is the end of September, I would like to put away most of my summer attire, but every time I try, you go and throw a sunny 90* day at me. Please make your mind one way or the other. It would be greatly appreciated.

Of course. Realistically, chances are that I will be the wealthier spouse, and in my world, love and business are entirely separate things. If you love me, you can show me that you aren't marrying me for my money. I have seen too many times how badly blind faith in somebody can end up.
Even if my future husband is wealthier than I am, I will still sign it. I do not want anybody's money or support. Any money that I did not earn is dirty to me and I couldn't sleep at night if I spent it.

I bought six new pairs of shoes this weekend. These, these, these, these (in ivory leather), leopard print peep-toed pumps with an ankle strap (but a black heel) from guess, and black pointy toed pumps with like blackish blue/green/purple sequins. It was a good weekend for shoes.
That is truly the only thing in my life worth updating about.

I will probably have a vodka tonic. Unless I'm feeling cute, in which case I will have a midori sour. Or I'm feeling desperate, and then I'll have a lemon drop... or four. And sometimes, if I just want to look fancy, I'll get a glass of white zinfandel because that's the only wine I do.
I was kind of a mojito girl before but I'm getting tired of those... and margaritas are so hit or miss. I tried cosmos for a while too but I spill anything that comes in a martini glass so that was out.
I'm always open to new cocktail suggestions, things to broaden my cirrhotic liver's horizons and all that, so if you know of something I might like do not hesitate to inform me.
